TONIGHT! Proposed Costco gas station near preschools returns + improving bike lanes
Hi friends,
I’m overjoyed to share that my sister Stacy and her husband Conor have welcomed their second son, Chase, into the world. Aaron and I are now proud uncles to four(!) boys — and we couldn't be more excited. Mazel tov, Stacy and Conor! And we can't wait to meet you, baby Chase!
In not quite as exciting but still interesting news, we have a Council meeting tonight at 7 PM!
There are a few important items on the agenda— here are two I think you may be interested in:
A-1: Whether to appeal the planning commission’s decision to exempt the proposed Costco 30-pump gas station from environmental review.
This gas station would sit just 215 feet away from a daycare and a preschool.
A-5: Discussing whether to use a brighter, more reflective green for bike lane paint.
Have you seen the bright green paint used in the bike lanes in Santa Monica and wondered why we can’t have nice things too? Well… we can!
Here’s how you can plug in tonight:
Attend in person at Culver City Hall or join on zoom.

I hope to hear from you tonight!

Congratulations to the Screenland 5K for celebrating their tenth years of building community (and endurance 🥵).
The race kicked my butt as usual but my team, Dr. Dillamond’s Divas, had a 🐐 blaaaaaaaast 🐐
Thanks for taking the time to catch up with me, and I hope to hear from you at tonight’s meeting!
