Prioritizing preventative care (+ a Sunday soirée!)

Friends,

Have you seen my latest video about public safety in Culver City? Our Council was asked to approve a $140K GPS tracking system that police could stick onto cars, even before an attempted stop. I spoke about the growth of police powers and how we should be investing these resources in preventative care. Check it out below!

I am grateful to Mayor McMorrin and Councilmember Puza for voting against the item, but it was just put back on the agenda for the next meeting, where it is likely to pass.

One of the most important pillars of our campaign is our commitment to investing in systems of care over incarceration.

If elected, I plan to help pass a city budget that focuses on the issues people care about the most.

We've been knocking doors all over Culver City, and voters have told us repeatedly that they want to see more funding towards mental health teams, permanent supportive housing, tenant protectsions, improved lighting, safe streets and other safety provisions for our community.

But we can only make that vision a reality if we keep having these conversations with voters. Will you consider signing up for one two-hour door-knocking shift to help us get our message out?

If you can't knock doors with us right now, a donation of $25 would help us print our second round of campaign literature and power our volunteers to get the word out for the rest of May and June.

Lastly, we have a fun event coming up this Sunday in Culver City hosted by some amazing mobility advocates and leaders! We would love to see you there. Just select the invite below to RSVP.
