Fun ways to get involved this weekend!

There are just 39 days until election day!
The next 39 days will determine the course of our city for the next four years. If that sounds dramatic, that’s because the differences in this election could not be more stark.
This election will answer some defining questions about the future of our city.
Are we going to continue kicking the can down the road and watch as housing costs continue to soar? Or create abundant housing for people of all incomes in all neighborhoods?
Are we going to continue spending 33 cents of every dollar we have to flexibly spend on just one department? Or take a modern, holistic approach to public safety that embraces a preventative and care-first approach?
Are we going to keep dissembling the first pieces of a bike and transit network we despartely need to meet our climate and safety goals? Or embrace the future of mobility while protecting our little ones, seniors, and most vulnerable from traffic violence?
Given those stakes, I have to ask— will you sign up to attend at least one of our events or volunteering opportunities this weekend?
FIrst of all, if you haven’t gotten a chance to knock doors with us yet, you can sign up for a shift right here. It’s the most impactful way to help, because its proven to work.
This Friday at 6pm, join us for a postcard party where we’ll write notes to voters about our campaign. We’ll also be giving out postcards anyone can write from home.
This Saturday at 4pm, join us for a meet and greet in Carlson Park to talk to neighbors about the issues that matter to them -- if you haven’t gotten to meet me in person, please consider stopping by. Plus, pick up a yard sign if you haven’t gotten a chance to grab yours!
Finally, this Sunday at 5pm, join us for a climate party!
We’ll be hanging out in a backyard in Downtown Culver City with leading voices in the fight against climate change, including former Culver City Mayors Meghan Sahli-Wells and Alex Fisch, former Councilmember Mike Bonin, and David Haake Chair of the West Los Angeles Chapter of Sierra Club.
