Holly J. Mitchell and Isaac Bryan back our campaign!
Hey friends,
In case you missed our exciting announcement, our campaign was just been endorsed by L.A. County Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell!
Supervisor Mitchell has been a tireless champion for affordable housing, safe streets, and care-based public safety for her entire career. She led our County through the pandemic, secured permanent housing for unhoused families, created Metro’s Ambassador program, and began a guaranteed income program to lift families out of poverty.
The Supervisor’s dedication to improving the lives of working families and fostering inclusive communities is an inspiration to me and countless others.
But that’s not the only good news we have for you today.
Culver City’s CA Assemblymember from the 55th district, Isaac Bryan, has also joined Team Bubba!
I’ve worked closely with Assemblymember Bryan on multiple bills during my time at Streets for All to reduce interactions with law enforcement for people using transit and bicycles. I was able to see the way he combines his community organizing background with collaborative governing to get real work done on behalf of our district. Our Assemblymember’s track record of fighting for renters, our environment, and justice for all inspires me, and I’m excited to have his support for our campaign.
On top of our endorsement from the LA County Democratic Party, I’m beyond honored to get this support from two of the elected officials who work most closely with the Culver City Council and represent our community at the County and State levels.
In just the last few weeks, we’ve also received support from LA City Controller Kenneth Mejia, LA County Board of Supervisors Chair Lindsey P Horvath, California Young Democrats, Stonewall Young Democrats, Friends of the Earth Action, Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund, Evolve California, Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, Honor PAC, and many more.
It’s clear that we have the momentum we need at this stage of the campaign. With ballots getting mailed out in less than two weeks, now is the most critical time to pitch in for our campaign.
Will you sign up to attend at least one of our events or volunteering opportunities?
If you haven’t gotten a chance to knock doors with us (you can sign up to knock here).
This Friday at 6pm, join us for a postcard party where we’ll write notes to voters about our campaign. We’ll also be giving out postcards anyone can write from home.
This Saturday at 4pm, join us for a meet and greet in Carlson Park to talk to neighbors about the issues that matter to them -- if you haven’t gotten to meet me in person, please consider stopping by. Plus, pick up a yard sign if you haven’t gotten a chance to grab yours (we just ordered a fresh batch)!
Finally, this Sunday at 5pm, help us over the finish line by joining our fundraiser in Downtown Culver City hosted by leading voices in the fight against climate change, former Culver City Mayor Meghan Sahli-Wells, former Councilmember Mike Bonin, and David Haake Chair of the West Los Angeles Chapter of Sierra Club. Grab your ticket here -- there’s no minimum donation to attend.
There are just 41 days left until election day. Thank you for finishing strong with us!
With gratitude,
Bubba
